First jump starts at 10am. Handlers meeting at 9:40am.
The Winterfest Competition is a fun event loosely based on the rules and policies of DockDogs®

The Basics
We follow DockDogs® basics
One Dog and One Handler are called a Team.
Teams are grouped into Divisions based on jump distance:

Novice 0’1” – 9’11”
-
Junior 10’0” - 14’11”
-
Senior 15’0” - 19’11”
-
Master 20’0” - 22’11”
-
Elite 23’0” - 24’11”
-
Super Elite 25’ and above
Each event (Longest Jump, Highest Jump, and Fastest Fetch) will feature Divisional competition.
Similar to the DockDogs® General Event Format

One group at a time, each Team shall be given two jumps in rotation order. The longest of the two jump distances shall be assigned as the Team’s Score.

The Teams shall be ranked within their jumped division based on the longest to shortest Score within that division.
Eligibility:
-
All dogs must be at least 6 months old.

All dog handlers must be at least 7 years old.
Rules:
-
All Rocket Dogs K-9 Aquatics and Wellness Center facility rules apply.

All dogs must be leashed and kept 4' away from other dogs.

All dogs must have current vaccinations. Copy of vaccination records must be submitted before competition.

All handlers must attend the Handler's Meeting 15 minutes prior to their registered event.
-
All poop must to be scooped. Handlers are responsible for their dog's business.
-
No pushing, shoving, or throwing the dog into the water.
-
Female dogs who are in season are NOT eligible to compete.
-
Aggressive dogs are NOT eligible to compete.
